In Her Own Words

“I view the role of therapist as consisting of many sub roles, some of which include teacher, guide, supporter, challenger, coach and trusted advocate. I believe that therapy is a place where incredible growth and change become attainable. In my view, the challenging process of change often involves learning how to approach uncomfortable experiences, in the service of living the life that you want to live. For me, this process is collaborative and guided by my client’s values, in addition to my clinical expertise. There is no greater honor than being the person to support you in reaching your goals.

I strive to approach each therapeutic interaction grounded in my own values of authenticity and collaboration. I view the relationship between client and therapist to be one of unique opportunity; a trusting dynamic in which a person can test out new ways of thinking, feeling and relating. This process can be challenging, but I wholeheartedly believe that it can be equally enjoyable and rewarding!

When working together, one of my top priorities is learning what you care deeply about. This provides us with a roadmap by which we will navigate challenging situations. In therapy with me, you can expect a supportive, evidence-based approach with a little dose of creativity. Whether we need to get back to basics, address stuck points, or stretch your comfort zone, we will do it together.”
